Our Services

Pet Boarding in Vero Beach, FL

Our caring & compassionate staff will make sure your pet receives plenty of one-on-one attention, interactive playtime, and nutritious meals.

While our ‘pet resort’ is filled with all the loving comforts of home, we know that just like humans, pets can sometimes get homesick. Does your pet have a favorite toy? A special treat? You are welcome to bring any comforts from home that will help your pet relax while you are gone. We request that you label these toys so we can be sure they return home with your pet when the visit is over.

At Orchid Island Dog Spa, we know that each pet is used to a different routine, and we always do our best to accommodate your pet’s specific needs. If your pet has special dietary requirements, we are happy to follow these guidelines. If your pet is on medication, we will also administer the medication according to the guidelines from your veterinarian.

Requirments

Proof of current vaccination against:

  • Distemper Combo (distemper, parvo, parainfluenza, adenovirus)
  • Rabies
  • Bordetella (Kennel Cough)
  • Canine Influenza

Proof of negative fecal testing every 6 months.

Age requirement: 16 weeks and older

Breeds restriction: None!

Neuter vs. Spay: Pets over 6 months of age must be spayed/neutered in order to take part in group play. This is for safety (fighting potential increases) and liability (unwanted pregnancy) reasons. We still welcome unaltered pets to stay with us for standard boarding.

In-heat: We allow boarding of in-heat dogs, however, an additional cleaning fee will be associated with the stay, due to additional hygiene measures (whether cleaning enclosure, changing diapers, etc)

External Parasites (Fleas/Ticks): It is strongly recommended that all guests be maintained on flea/tick prevention

Any pets who are found to have external parasites will be treated with CapStar at the owner’s expense.

Pet Boarding
$50/day

Additional family member sharing the room $45/day

  • Veterinary Prescription Hill’s diet Low Fat I/D food ($5.5/day dry) and Veterinary Prescription Royal Canin Low Fat GI food ($5.5/per can wet) fee applies if food not provided at dropoff
  • Administration of Medication, Supplements, & Vitamins is also available (fee applies).
Holiday Pricing
additional $10/day

The extra cost per day of boarding ensures us that we can be properly staffed for the holiday since we will be having a large number of boarding dogs.
Holiday Pricing Dates:

  • Memorial Day (May 27th-June 2nd)
  • Independence Day (July 1st-July 6th)
  • Labor Day (September 2nd-September 7th)
  • Thanksgiving (November 14th-30th)
  • Christmas (December 16th-January 4th)
Drop off and Pick up Times

Monday – Sunday: 8:00 AM-10:00 AM & 3:00 PM-6:00 PM

Any pets picked up after business hours will be charged a late fee of $20.

At 6:00 pm, OIDS will charge a boarding fee ($50), and pick-up will be at 9:00 am the next morning.
